Kryeministri Edi Rama dhe ministrja e Infrastrukturës dhe Energjisë, Belinda Balluku, kanë inspektuar punimet për ndërtimin e autostradës Elbasan – Lekaj, pjesë e Korridorit 8. Sipas Ballukut në pranverën e vitit 2026, 20 km e para të këtij segmenti do të jenë të dorëzuara.
“Jemi në korridorin e 8, në një nga kantieret e fazës së tretë. Ky është një nga korridoret më të rëndësishme të infrastrukturës rrugore do të jetë dhe hekurudhore në te ardhmen. Do të jetë e ndarë në tre faza. Kemi fazën nga Elbasani deri në daljen e re kufitare pra në urën e Bushtricës. Kemi Bypassin e Elbasanit që është faza e dytë dhe kjo është faza e tretë nga Elbasani në drejtim të Rrogozhinës. Ne punojmë rreth 20 km e parë, duke qenë se kemi filluar nga Elbasani deri në kthesën e Cërrikut dhe më pas nga Cërriku Papër dhe Urën e Grykshit”, – tha Balluku.
Rama foli për programin e infrastrukturës, që sipas tij po realizohet edhe në kuadër të fondit të investimeve të Ballkanit Perëndimor.
“Sot mbështetja financiare e programeve të BE për Shqipërinë mbetet 90% kredi, natyrisht kredi e butë nga bankat europiane të zhvillimit, por kredi. Edhe hekurudhat që janë një pako e re që është hapur tanimë janë po ashtu në këtë kuadër”, – tha Rama.

Si pjesë e Korridorit 8, ai ka një gjerësi prej 26 metrash me dy korsi kalimi dhe një korsi emergjence, duke përballuar kështu një fluks rreth 40 mijë mjete për 24 ore në kushte normale.
